Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how CCNA Practice Labs ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit https://ccnapracticelabs.com, use our interactive study tools, create an account, subscribe, or otherwise interact with our services (collectively, the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

CCNA Practice Labs does not sell your personal data.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, information generated through your use of the Service, and limited technical information needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service.

  • Account information such as name, email address, authentication identifiers, and account preferences.
  • Authentication data when you sign in with Google or create a local account on our dashboard application.
  • Payment-related information processed by Stripe, including payment status, receipts, Stripe customer or subscription identifiers, card brand, and the last four digits of a payment card. We do not intend to store full card numbers, CVV codes, or complete card expiration information on our systems.
  • Study and product usage data such as lesson progress, exam attempts, scores, topic performance, tool usage, study time, readiness indicators, and subscription entitlement status.
  • Communications you send to us, including support requests sent to our help address.
  • Newsletter signup information when you separately and optionally subscribe to marketing communications.
  • Technical and security data such as IP address, browser type, device information, approximate location derived from IP, logs, and anti-abuse signals.

How We Use Information

We use personal information to operate the Service, provide educational features, maintain accounts, process payments, communicate with users, prevent abuse, and comply with law.

  • Creating, authenticating, and maintaining user accounts.
  • Delivering course content, tools, practice exams, progress tracking, and subscription features.
  • Sending transactional messages such as account verification, password reset, billing receipts, security alerts, and service notices.
  • Sending a one-time welcome email after registration.
  • Sending up to three promotional follow-up emails to nonsubscribers who have not opted out: the first several hours after registration, approximately two weeks after registration, and approximately four weeks after registration. This introductory sequence stops after the final follow-up.
  • Sending optional newsletter emails only to users who separately sign up. Newsletter frequency will ordinarily not exceed two emails per month and may include site news, networking news, educational content, promotions, and limited subscription invitations.
  • Operating security controls including rate limiting, bot mitigation, IP logging, geographic blocking, fraud prevention, and abuse detection.
  • Analyzing aggregate usage to improve reliability, performance, and educational quality.

Marketing and Email Choices

Promotional emails include an unsubscribe method or preference-management link as required by applicable law.

If you opt out of marketing communications, we may still send transactional and security-related emails necessary to operate your account, process payments, investigate abuse, or respond to legal requests.

Newsletter signup is separate and optional. Registering for an account does not automatically subscribe you to the newsletter unless you affirmatively opt in where that option is presented.

California Privacy Disclosures

If you are a California resident, you may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of certain sharing or selling of personal information.

CCNA Practice Labs does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in exchange for money or other valuable consideration.

You may submit a privacy request by emailing us at the contact address below. We may need to verify your request before responding.

Service Providers and Processors

We use trusted service providers to help operate the Service. These providers may process personal information on our behalf subject to contractual confidentiality and security obligations.

  • Google for account authentication where Google sign-in is enabled.
  • Stripe for payment processing and related billing operations on our dashboard application.
  • Cloudflare and other hosting, CDN, security, and infrastructure providers.
  • Email delivery providers used to send transactional, welcome, follow-up, and newsletter messages.
  • Security, logging, monitoring, and abuse-prevention tools used to protect the Service.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies, local storage, session storage, and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy. Essential technologies are used for authentication, security, session continuity, and core preferences.

We do not currently use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or behavioral advertising cookies on this public site based on our current codebase review. If that changes, we will update our Cookie Policy.

Third-Party Videos and Embedded Content

Some pages may embed or link to third-party educational videos or external content. Those providers may collect information under their own privacy policies when you interact with their players, cookies, or websites.

CCNA Practice Labs does not control third-party sites or players and is not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you choose to use.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, comply with law, and protect the Service.

Retention periods may vary based on account status, billing records, security logs, and legal requirements.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including access controls, encryption in transit where supported, monitoring, rate limiting, and abuse detection.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete that information where required.

International Data Transfers

We may process and store information in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have data-protection laws different from those in your jurisdiction.

Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

Your Rights and Requests

Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, export, restriction, or objection regarding your personal information, or withdraw consent where applicable.

You may request account deletion or privacy assistance by emailing [email protected]. We may retain certain information as required by law, for billing, fraud prevention, or security purposes.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective or last updated date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.

Your continued use of the Service after an update becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy, except where applicable law requires a different form of consent.
